Thank you, Jacey, you are truly an inspiration to many. Please, as you continue to navigate through the rough terrain, please don't forget the women of color (Asian, African, Latino, Native Americans). There are very few representatives canvassing the roads or pavements on their behalf. They too are often the forgotten ones.

Again, thank you for all you have done and are doing.

Thank you, Holly and Kathie! You have taught me so much about friendship by your example. I learned from both of you that with all the challenges of military life, friendship is invaluable, indispensable, and requires intentionality. It's always worth it! Thank you for sharing your wisdom so generously with everyone you meet.

I rarely get on Fb these days but happened on today to look at a friend's post and stumbled on this! YES! such an important subject. I was just discussing with a new friend here in Oregon (at a gathering of 27 women, people who have lived here since the 70's and a few that arrived in the last 6 weeks)...how I have to thank my military life for teaching me how to dive in and make friends quickly. And how to stay in touch with so many as we kept moving. You need your women friends!! trust me on that. In person. And yes, the ones who live at a far distance are important too...and make the effort to stay in touch And to get together. But you also need the friends "with skin on" as Holly says for hugs, and for someone who can read your face and body language when you reply "i'm fine" and maybe really aren't! Plus we all simply need hugs! Kathie

Thank you Terri! One of my go to quotes is, if you were meant to do this life all by yourself, you would’ve been put here on this earth all by yourself. You are not here by yourself, therefore you don’t need to do this life by yourself. We are here to help each other through this life.
